Welcome to the Women’s Aid National Training Centre
We are the leading training provider for tackling and preventing domestic abuse. Whether you work with survivors, deliver a domestic abuse service, are an employer wanting to support your staff or a police force, our unrivalled expertise will equip you with the tools to understand and respond effectively to domestic abuse.
What do we offer?
Our survivor-focused training courses and qualifications include the skills and knowledge required to carry out many specialist roles within the sector, such as an IDVA position, a group facilitation post, working with children, refuge and outreach work.
Freelance Assessors needed!
We want to recruit freelance assessors for up to one year for our National Certificate courses.
If you are interested in assessing assignment papers and have excellent knowledge of the VAWG sector, have worked directly supporting survivors and their children and would like to know more, please email [email protected]
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) training bursaries for full Women’s Aid members now available
Due to generous funding from the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) to support the domestic abuse sector with the challenges that Covid-19 has presented, we are delighted to be able to offer a number of training bursaries to our member services.
We have 10 bursary places on our Certificate in Tackling and Preventing Domestic Abuse training. Bursaries are for full and current members only and are limited to one per organisation. The bursaries cover £1,300 of the £1,800 of the Certificate. Organisations successful in receiving a bursary place for the Certificate will be expected to pay the remaining £500 before the start of the course. Dates for the Certificate training can be found here.
The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) are also fully funding a number of places on our NOCN accredited Diploma in Tackling & Preventing Domestic Abuse, which we are looking to run in the Autumn. To be eligible for a bursary you must have passed the Certificate in Tackling & Preventing Domestic Abuse and your organisation must be a full member of Women’s Aid.
