We are the leading training provider for tackling and preventing domestic abuse. What do we offer?
Our survivor-focused training courses and qualifications include the skills and knowledge required to carry out many specialist roles within the sector, such as an IDVA position, a group facilitation post, working with children, refuge and outreach work.
Free places for members on ‘You and me, mum’ and ‘Power to Change’ courses
We are delighted to offer free places to full members on our ‘You and me, mum’ and ‘Power to Change’ facilitation programmes taking place in March 2022, funded by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). Please email [email protected] for more information.
Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) full bursaries now available for members for Destitute Domestic Violence Concession training taking place in January 2022
We are pleased to be running a series of 3 webinars that will help you understand the Destitute Domestic Violence Concession (DDVC), the Domestic Violence Rule and how to support survivors in accessing benefits after they have applied for leave to remain under the DDVC.
We have a number of bursaries for our DDVC training available thanks to the CAF and open to our full members. Bursaries are worth the full cost of the training (£215) and places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Email [email protected] to find out more.
MOJ funding available for IDVA training
Have you been awarded funding from your PCC to employ and train IDVAs for your service? Women’s Aid is one of the named providers by the MOJ to supply this training. You can find more information about the funding here.

Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) training bursaries for full Women’s Aid members now available
Due to generous funding from the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) to support the domestic abuse sector with the challenges that Covid-19 has presented, we are delighted to be able to offer training bursaries to our member services.
The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is fully funding a number of places on our NOCN accredited Diploma in Tackling & Preventing Domestic Abuse, which we are looking to run in the Autumn. To be eligible for a bursary you must have passed the Certificate in Tackling & Preventing Domestic Abuse and your organisation must be a full member of Women’s Aid.

We offer discounted rates for our member services but unfortunately we do not offer concessionary rates to non-members. If your organisation is interested in becoming a member of Women’s Aid please contact the membership team on [email protected].
If you are an individual, you may be interested in our Change That Lasts project. Change That Lasts run a free two-day training course that raises awareness of domestic abuse in the community and helps people provide the right response to disclosures.
Yes, we offer refunds on courses if we are given two weeks notice, after which we are unable to offer a refund due to venue bookings, refreshments and trainer travel.

We are the Women’s Aid Federation of England, our charity covers England only. However as an exception, we can travel across the UK to deliver our Bespoke training.
If you are based in England and we do not offer the course you would like in your area, we would like to hear from you. We are always looking for new venues when funding permits. You can contact [email protected] to pass on your feedback.
