National Conference 2024

Festival of Women’s Aid

Thank you to all who joined us at Women’s Aid’s National Conference 2024: Festival of Women’s Aid last week. In the year of our 50th anniversary, it was incredible for our federation of members and the sector beyond to come together to mark a year of action and look to the future.

The event saw inspirational keynotes from Selma Taha of Southall Black Sisters, Gisela Valle of Latin American Women’s Rights Service, the Right Hon Harriet Harmen, Minister Jess Phillips MP and Natasha Rattu of Karma Nirvana & Yasmin Jawed of the Fawzia Jawed campaign.

An array of fantastic speakers joined us for a breadth of panels, breakout sessions and workshops over the two days to share best practice and key learnings, and we were also delighted to facilitate a fireside chat with our wonderful patron Melanie Brown MBE.

We’d love to see you next year – if you have any questions in the meantime, please contact events@womensaid.org.uk

It was my first Women's Aid conference. I thought it was brilliant. The Women's Aid team are incredibly helpful and friendly and I felt privileged to be there with such an amazing network.
