Flexible Fund

Between 1st October 2024, and 5th February 2025, we were pleased to work with the Home Office, along with our membership and sector partners for the third time to distribute funding that provided one-off payments to survivors of domestic abuse. This fund supported survivors in fleeing their abuser and increasing their stability and independence, building on the success of the successful pilot distributed inMay 2023.

Survivors of domestic abuse who did not have the financial means to leave abusers or remain safely in their home were able to apply, through referrals from a network of specialist frontline services across England and Wales, for a one-off payment of up to £500. These funds were intended for essential items such as groceries, nappies, and clothing, helping survivors and their children secure safety.

Eligible survivors, who had not accessed the Future Fund in previous rounds, were able to apply for a one-off payment of up to £2,500 to support their journey toward a more stable and independent future. For example, enabling them to put down a deposit for rental accommodation.

The Flexible Fund for 2024/25 has now closed. However, we are pleased to announce that the 2025/26 round of funding will reopen this summer. The opening date, along with the eligibility criteria and information on how to apply, will be updated on this page in due course.

Should you have any other questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at flexiblefund@womensaid.org.uk
