Football United Parliamentary Football Match 2015

A year on from the first Football United Parliamentary Football Match, Women’s Aid’s All Star team played a second match against the FA Parliamentary Football team on the 17th November at Quintin Hogg Memorial Sports Ground in Chiswick.

The match kicked off at 9.30am and our All Star team, including Dominic Cooper, Bradley James, Mark Bonnar and Team Captain Max Rushden, proved unbeatable despite the MP’s best efforts. The team romped home with a very convincing winning score of 7-1.

At half time the Parliamentary team presented Women’s Aid with a cheque for £10,000 – part of the amazing total of £26,000 that they have now raised for us.

We would like to thank the Parliamentary team and all of the players for their support – we believe that football has the power to change lives, and with Football United, we want to change the lives of women and children across the country and relegate domestic violence once and for all.
