We have upcoming training in our pilot areas on the following dates:
Women’s Aid, in partnership with Welsh Women’s Aid and our local partners are looking for community members that live, work or volunteer in Brighton and Hove/East Sussex, Powys in Wales, or London (Hammersmith and Fulham, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea) to join our ask me scheme and create communities against domestic abuse.
Anyone can sign up to be an ask me ambassador, male or female, from bar staff to hairdressers, reception staff to HR teams, dentists, pharmacists, retail staff and community groups – whatever your role, we need your support.
There are two options for signing up to become an ask me ambassador:
- You might be an individual who has great reach into your local community or
- You might be part of a business, signing up on behalf of your site
The training is over two days- 9.30am-4.30pm and is worth 12 CPD points.
After the training, the time commitment is as much or as little as you can. Learning about domestic abuse is a life skill and after the training you may become more aware of abuse in your community. All we ask is for ambassadors to fill in a brief form each month to let us know what you’ve been up to.
Please see our information pack for further information
If you have a connection to one of our pilot sites, either living, working or involved with a community group and would like to join the scheme, please complete an expression of interest form and return it to [email protected]
