CUT: The Movie

Working in partnership with Grey London, we asked: “Isn’t it time someone called cut on domestic abuse?”

Starring award-winning actress Keira Knightley and directed by leading film director Joe Wright, the two-minute film CUT showed the shocking reality of domestic abuse – a reality for millions of women and children every single day.

Keira said: “Whilst domestic violence exists in every section of society, we rarely hear about it. We may not think we know someone who has experienced domestic violence – but this does not mean that it is not happening. Domestic violence kills two women every week. Without the services provided by Women’s Aid, many more women could be at risk.”

CUT was shown in cinemas and television to raise awareness about domestic abuse, and funds for Women’s Aid.

Trigger warning – if you are affected by this film please call the Freephone National Domestic Violence Helpline (run in partnership between Women’s Aid and Refuge) on 0808 2000 247 for information and support or view the Survivor’s Handbook pages of our website.
