The UK Gold Book is a directory for refuge and domestic abuse services. It includes comprehensive listings for over 500 domestic and sexual violence services across the UK, detailing the type of services and facilities provided, and referral procedures.
The UK Gold Book’s indexing system will enable you to access the specific type of service you need. Indexes include: listing services by geographical area; sexuality and gender; accessibility; language; religion; specialist services for Black and minority ethnic women, and specialist services for men.

The UK Gold Book is funded by Communities and Local Government and Comic Relief, and brings together the knowledge and information from the UKrefugesonline partnership: Women’s Aid Federation Northern Ireland, Scottish Women’s Aid, Welsh Women’s Aid and Women’s Aid Federation of England. The UK Gold Book is a key reference tool for domestic violence survivors, the refuge network and the many professionals in housing, criminal justice, health and welfare agencies who work with women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
