Get your creative juices flowing and make a difference by fundraising for Women’s Aid like Amanda:
“I have had a good family life, but I realised that for many women and children this is unfortunately not the case. I knew that fundraising for Women’s Aid would enable real change for real women and that my donation would have a huge impact.”
Here are a few ideas to get you started, but please do get in touch with Faye for to discuss your event.
You often hear about the stars attending glamorous charity dinner parties and bidding for fantastic auction prizes. Now it's your turn! Book out a restaurant on a quiet evening when you can negotiated a group rate and then charge your friends a cost per plate. Hold a mini auction and competitively bid for a selection of prizes.
Many small clubs and bars are happy to host benefit gigs for charity. All you need to do is find a good local band or DJ who would be willing to pay for free, put up some posters about the event and ask the club to donate some or all of the entry fee to Women's Aid.
Hold a clothes swap with friends. Ask everyone to bring along their unwanted clothes and accessories. Then, bid against one another to win your friends' items, and see the pounds add up to a fantastic donation for Women's Aid.
Why not get all of your friends round for a pamper party? Offer makeovers, massages, and beauty treatments in return for a donation to Women’s Aid.
Charity Football Match
Why not organise a charity football match with your friends or colleagues in a local park and ask friends and family to sponsor you? A fun, healthy way to help raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.
What better way to enjoy a warm summer's day and raise valuable funds for Women’s Aid than by holding a barbeque for your neighbours? Ask guests to make a donation to Women’s Aid.
Hold a quiz at a local pub or town hall and donate the entry fee to Women’s Aid.
